A legally sound payment notice can significantly increase the debtor's willingness to pay. This is particularly important as legal proceedings based on a poorly drafted demand letter can not only entail higher costs and risks, but can also make it more difficult to enforce the claim.

To avoid losses, it is highly recommended to send a letter of formal notice drafted by a lawyer. In addition, it is important to know that in the case of debts between legal persons, a recovery fee of HUF 40 (based on Article 3 of Act IX of 2016) may be claimed within 1 year of the expiry of the claim.
